Don Lipper Bio

Professional bio: Don Lipper has been writing for major media outlets since he was 19 when he got a job as a reporter/news writer at a local NPR affiliate in western Massachusetts (WFCR). Since then, he was worked as a writer at a variety of national magazines including Time, People, Money, In Style, Premiere, Men's Fitness and many others. He worked for six Hollywood studios in all aspects of production, distribution and marketing. He has been a frequent contributor and online producer for a number of web sites including Warner Bros. Online (where he produced most of the web sites for Warner Bros. Television), CNet, Space.com and many others.

Personal bio: Don is a former (his wife says "recovering") stand-up comedian who has been seen on Comedy Central, ABC, BBC, Fox and in clubs across America. When he's not writing, his hobbies include sleeping. He loves the three little monsters, er, boys who live in his house and given their uncanny resemblance to him, suspects it's true that he might be their father. The paternity results will be revealed on a very special episode of the Jerry Springer Show when Springer will also reveal Don's shocking cholesterol numbers. Don enjoys working with his wife, but is ravaged by doubt that he only got the job by sleeping with his boss.

Elizabeth Sagehorn Bio

Professional bio: Elizabeth Sagehorn is a marketing maven who managed national campaigns for the FOX Kids Club, Hanna-Barbera and many others. She also has written for a number of national, trade and custom publications. An avid researcher and one of the fastest writers in the business, she keeps Write the First Time running at warp speed.

Personal bio: Elizabeth Sagehorn was told by her teachers that “No one ever makes a living as a writer. You'd better have a Plan B”.

She would simply like to say to them, “Neener-Neener-Neener!”

The day she graduated from college, the local newspaper's headline announced that it was the worst time for young grads to find work since World War II. Undaunted and armed with a B.A. in art history (which she soon learned is Latin for “unemployed”), she set out in her old Volvo station wagon to take the world by storm. She set up camp in Los Angeles (she hates the cold) and worked as, among other things, a temp, a movie extra (not as much fun as it sounds) and a marketing manager. She and Don celebrated the new millennium by gleefully kissing corporate life, suits, ties and high heels good-bye (we'll let you guess who wore what) and went about building successful careers as freelance writers in their jammies.

Today, she and Don have three kids, a corporation, a somewhat newer Volvo, five bikes, no pets and spend most of their free time visiting their kids' grandparents or hanging out with friends at the local Farmers' Market.
